Biography

After graduating from SUNY Upstate Medical University, Dr. Moschiano completed anatomic and clinical pathology residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she served as chief resident. Her Hematopathology fellowship included rotations through LAC + USC Medical Centers, as well as Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, providing a wide range of exposure and opportunity to learn, which she incorporates into her daily practice.

Most recently, Dr. Moschiano has been practicing as a general surgical pathologist and hematopathologist, at Community Memorial Hospital (CMH). During her time there, she served as co-chair of the Patient Blood Management Committee, working to improve patient safety and outcomes during massive transfusion protocols. She was also a member of the Inpatient Medicine Committee, working closely with clinicians and staff to continually improve patient care.

She joins Dr. DeNicola on the sub-specialty hematopathology and flow cytometry services and is available to perform bone marrow biopsies under sedation for patients who require this setting.

Dr. Moschiano has a keen interest in teaching and quality improvement. She is involved in weekly hematopathology teaching rounds with hematologists and oncologist. She is also involved in the Clinical Laboratory Science training program, providing educational lectures focused on hematology testing.

Outside of work, she enjoys the beach, hiking, baking and spending time with her two young children.
